High School Intern

FFAC - Salt Lake City

The Factory Farming Awareness Coalition internship program is for Salt Lake City students interested in educating the public about the impacts of our food choices. Through administrative work, mentorship and hands-on experiences, interns gain valuable tools to become compassionate leaders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Students who are selected can choose from a variety of tasks based on personal interest including:

  • Being trained as a speaker and giving presentations regarding factory farming in classrooms

  • Handing out plant-based foods at school/community events

  • Promoting Green Mondays at your school

  • Tabling to raise awareness about factory farming

  • Planning events to raise awareness in your community

GROUP ACTIVITIES

For interns selected, FFAC will be hosting a series of group activities for personal and professional development. These include:

  • Resume workshops

  • Monthly book club meetings

  • Plant-based food demos

  • Film screenings and discussions

EVENTS

In addition to internship responsibilities, interns will be expected to attend a monthly book club and other monthly events for professional development in Salt Lake City.

In addition to monthly events, interns should expect to spend about 2 hours per week on remote tasks.
